Excellent service and pleasant personnel. As someone using a power chair I really appreciated the wide, uncluttered aisles. Super deli.

The produce (specifically fruit) is indeed pricey but always excellent. I've wasted way more money on BAD mangoes at other (very good) stores. LONG TERM NET SAVINGS

Unique grocery store....great seafood and cheese departments.....Amazing craft beer selection and hot/cold prepared foods. Employees (especially beer expert Vinny) make the trip.

Lots of Italian specialties. Very good quality over most super markets. Has best beer selection and has a bar too. Slightly more expensive but worth it. Worth the trip.

I will have to retest hypothesis when we are in the throes of winter.

UPDATE: They changed the store all around. First off, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE WAY IT WAS! Now it's a PITA to get around and they moved all the beer to the front of the store. Obviously, some smarty pants manager figured a way to push the beer? So, what does BEER have to do with Italian food anyway? Who knows. But it's disappointing.

DeCicco's is a gourmet supermarket with an Italian flair. They have all the stuff you go to Arthur Ave for and more. It is the BEST darn super market around! This one in particular (there's at least two others) is WAY better than either(Yorktown HTS or Cross River)location. Largely do to the size and age of the bldg.

With all that said, what's the problem with DeCicco? They're expensive. I typically go there for a fish dinner and walk out with two small bags, $100 lighter. My son told me if we ever hit the lotto, it's his dream to do our entire week's shopping at DeC LOL. I'm not going to say they have no sales, but they are WAY more expensive than shop rite or tops.

Where do I start? The produce is excellent. The meats and butcher are excellent. Usually when I shop meat at other markets, I base my choice 75% on quality. If doesn't matter if the steak is cheap if the quality is poor. Here, EVERYTHING looks great. You actually have choices. The bakery and cheese shop are excellent. They literally have 100's of cheese selections. The fish counter is also . . . you guessed it, outstanding. The have a HUGE selection of beers incl gluten free choices. I've NEVER waited more than 3 minutes on line. They have a coffee shop which I have never availed myself of.
